Isabelle Rose

Aren't they cute? Labor and delivery was way easier than I thought it would be. With the epidural I didn't feel a thing...even when I was pushing. It was a little disconcerting to hear the woman in the next room screaming a few minutes later as the doctor was sewing me up and made me even more grateful that God invented drugs. If you look at this objectively, I was technically in labor for three days. I don't think I could have managed to push the baby out after that much pain, which is why the last twelve hours were spent in a hospital bed on drugs. Anyway, so we're both home now and fine....Isabelle is four days old and I've managed to fit back into my size 16 pants today (I couldn't Sunday) with room to spare...at this rate I'll be back in my tens by next week. I've already lost all but three pounds of baby weight and now that my milk has come in I think I look totally disproportioned and a little like Pamela Anderson. This is not as exciting as you would think since I look totally wonky to me and not at all like myself....and they are rock hard and painful, which kind of takes away from the novelty of big boobs. Okay, well I can't think of anything else so I'll leave you with another picture.

So cute! Yeah, the painful boob thing goes away. It sure is a pain at first though. (ha ha. pun.) But you know, when I had Ethan, I was able to fit into my size 16 jeans afterward, too. Then while I was nursing I was so freaking starving all the damn time that I packed on the pounds. Of course, you didn't pig out while you were pregnant, so maybe you won't while you're nursing either. And Ethan was a pretty hardy eater. Anyhoo.

In that last picture she totally looks like Elora. I like all your new pictures too, it makes me realize how big my baby is now! I think she looks so squishy, especially in those ones with patrick you have on your website. Um, thats all.

Okay, not that anyone really cares, but I'm going to tell you anyway. Yesterday I fit into my 12's...and all the weight is gone. *yay* I thought it would take a little longer than that, but I'm not complaining. Okay that's all. :)

One more thing...now that it's too late I think I like Isabelle Marie better than Rose...that was actually the one name that has been a constant possibility since we found out it was a girl...maybe I should have gone with my first instinct. Oh well. Pretty soon anything but Rose will sound wierd and it won't matter. Okay that's all for real now. ;)

No I don't, that's what the baby does. :)

yes, by belly is squishy and gross...with stretch marks and sores from my rash all over it. But Patrick is the only one who has to look at it.

I have a comment after laughing about the part about the novelty of big boobs:

If I fit into size 10's again, I would be back to the size I was when I was ... like 12 or something. ...and I thought I was skinny (I mean beanpole-like) back then, but I guess it just depends on your body structure. I'm not sure I'd look that great in 10's.

I hope you don't mind that I commented.
