This one is all about Patrick (stolen from his sisters blogs).
What is his name? Patrick Russell Thaden
How long have you been together? Let's see from first date on March 6, 2003 to now....four years, seven months, and eleven days. Four years of which married.
How long did you date? Four months and ten days before he proposed and then an almost exactly three month engagement. (July 16th-Oct. 17th)
How old is he? 31...but he'll be 32 in January...he's old, poor guy. ;)
Who eats more? At a given mealtime I'd say he does, but over the course of a day I do as I'm home with the food and he's not.
Who said I love you first? He did. I was about to go in and confront my psycho roommates after telling them that I was moving out and he told me not to worry about them because he "thought he was falling in love with me." This made my sardonic brain go,'you THINK? what's that supposed to mean?' especially since he said it in a sing song, shy voice. But I didn't say that out loud....I think I just kissed him or something. I didn't say I love you back for a couple of days because I didn't want him to think I just said it because he did. But I distinctly remember looking at him and thinking "I love you" in April....though he didn't say it until June 16th.
Who is taller? He is by barely two inches....unless he's in boots and I'm barefoot, then it's like 4 which is fun. ;)
Who sings better? I'd say me only because I can actually carry a tune while the song is not playing. He can sing pretty well if it's a song he knows and it's playing at the time, but he would never sing alone...believe me I've tried to make him.
Who is smarter? When it comes to technical and business stuff...and "real world" type stuff he is. But when it comes to writing papers and jumping through hoops to get A's I am.
Who does the laundry? I do. We used to just do it whenever, but now that I'm home all the time this made me feel bad since he ALWAYS needs clothes before I do, so now I do it every Monday.
Who does the dishes? During the day I do, but Patrick tends to do the dinner dishes.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? From the laying in bed perspective I do.
Who pays the bills? I do. If they were left to Patrick they'd only get paid when the companies started calling and threatening to shut off or cancel our stuff.
Who mows the lawn? Patrick does...he's worried that since I'm so allergic to everything, grass included, I'll break out in a rash from the flying debris. Which is probably true. ;)
Who cooks dinner? I think I'm slightly more likely to cook dinner than Patrick, especially lately, but it's been a toss up in the past.
Who drives when you're together? He does. I've driven a couple of times when I'm dropping him off somewhere, but that's it. Which is funny because he ALWAYS says when we go on vacation that he's going to have me help drive because it's easier to switch off. This has never happened.
Who is more stubborn? I think it depends on the situation, but generally I'd say me. I'm unreasonably stubborn at times.
Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Patrick. I tend to go to a place in my head where I hold whole conversations about the issue, but never voice them....making myself more upset. Patrick is always the one to give in first and talk things out, including admitting when he was wrong.
Who kissed who first? Patrick kissed me first. I would never kiss a boy first, I would always assume that if he hasn't shown any inclination to kissing me then he wouldn't welcome me kissing him. But after Patrick kissed me first, the door was open and I kissed him just as often as he kissed me. ;)
Who asked who out? Patrick asked me out to dinner and the museum....supposedly to ensure I wasn't crazy before we went on our road trip to New Orleans. I would never ask a boy out first....see reasons above.
Who proposed? Patrick at a restaurant in Flower Mound. He said he wasn't planning to do it there, but the waiter knew he was going to ask and kept walking by looking at my hand, so he felt pressured. Consequently there was no build up, no flowery speech, no getting down on one knee....he just said; "So, I have a question...." and when I looked he had the ring out (in his hand, not the box) "will you marry me?" Later when I explained what I wanted, he proposed many, many more times. My favorite being in the ruins of a castle in Germany in the rain. He said that's the proposal he would have liked to have given. It was very nice...
Who is more sensitive? In general I'd say me, but when it comes to hurting each others feelings it's a toss up.
Who has more friends? Hmm...depends on how you classify friends. If it's people they've known and been in touch with for years, then him. People you actually hang out with and do stuff, me. People you interact with on a daily basis, him.
Who has more siblings? Him. He as six sisters (total of seven kids). I have one sister and three brothers (total of five).
Who wears the pants in the family? I'd say we're pretty equal. Although I generally acknowledge that he has final say in many big things. This is comforting to me to have a big strong manly type as head of the household since my mom was in charge at ours growing up. I hate being in charge....although I'm sure Patrick would say different.
Okay that's it. Maybe more people will comment on this than they did on the food quiz. *hint hint* :)

happy anniversary! did patrick have to work?
um...yeah. They don't get anniversaries off...he would have worked even if he was still at his shop.
I'm leaving a comment. I read the food quiz and thought it was interesting in a "I don't really have any comments" sort of way. But this one was sweet. I'm tempted to do it myself, although that would entail actually blogging and I just don't feel like it lately.
Happy Anniversary as well! Did you guys do anything special? I agree, proposing in castle ruins while raining is a pretty perfect proposal. Sounds like something from a Jane Austen book. :)
I will have to do this for our anniversary. Don't let me forget!
kiera, mom read your blog at my house. She was going to comment, but the computer was running slow. She says she wasn't "in charge" growing up. What ever!
You let mom read my blog?!
haha. I figured you wouldn't mind letting her read this post. She can't get to it from her school, anyway.
